At the Alton Towers Driving School, children get the chance to take the wheel and cruise through their very own network of roads in what was formerly Cloud Cuckoo Land. With up to 30 brightly coloured cars whizzing around, this ride gives kids a taste of independence and fun, no grown-ups allowed behind the wheel!
But don’t worry, parents you’re not completely left out. There’s a fantastic walkway footbridge, rising high above the track, so you can cheer on your young drivers, wave as they pass, and snap some adorable action shots for the family album. 🚗📸

- 🧼 Bubbly Car Wash:
Watch as little drivers cruise through a fun, foamy bubble car wash, a fan-favourite that keeps those mini-motors looking shiny and colourful! - 🦔 Crossings & Giant Cones:
It wouldn’t be Cloud Cuckoo Land without a few quirky obstacles! Kids will swerve past giant cones, stop at traffic lights, and begin to learn the rules of the road, all in the most playful way possible. - 🌈 Colourful Characters:
Keep your eyes peeled for Dolly the Lollipop Lady and some rather giant hedgehogs waiting patiently to cross the road. These fun and friendly characters bring even more imagination and delight to the track. - 👷 Helpful Marshals:
Although parents can’t join in the driving fun, Alton Towers marshals are always on hand to help little drivers out of any traffic jams or detours!

Parents and older siblings don’t miss the footbridge from Fountain Square. It’s the perfect spot to join in the fun from above and grab some fantastic photos of your mini motorist in action!
