Single Rider Que Updates From Alton Towers Ahead Of The 2025 Season

Alton Towers have shared the following update with regards to the Single Rider Ques across the park ahead of the 2025 season:

With the launch of our brand-new ride, Toxicator, the 2025 season is set to be truly fantabulous!

We’re also pleased to share that the investment in Skyride is progressing well, through its final stages. With our team of hardworking specialists working tirelessly, we are happy to confirm its return to operation in April 2025.

As Alton After Dark wraps up and we transition into daily operations, Congo River Rapids and Hex – The Legend of the Towers will begin welcoming guests again too. Our Ride Availability webpage will be updated later this morning to reflect this, but we wanted you to be the first to know.

In addition, we are pleased to confirm that we will be introducing even more Single Rider Queue Lines for the start of the season across the Resort, with Toxicator, Oblivion and Galactica being added.

This is great news for those wanting to ride quicker whilst not staying within a group of friends.

Why Single Rider Queues Are Growing in Popularity

Maximising Ride Capacity and Reducing Wait Times

In recent years, Alton Towers has continually worked on ways to improve guest satisfaction by reducing long wait times, especially during peak seasons. The single rider queue system is one of the most effective solutions. By filling empty seats on rides with single riders, the park can maximise ride capacity, significantly decreasing the wait times for everyone.

In 2025, the growing popularity of this system means fewer long queues for those who are willing to ride solo, creating a more efficient and enjoyable experience for all park guests.

Ideal for Solo Adventurers

Single rider queues offer a fantastic solution for solo adventurers looking to maximize their time in the park. For those visiting Alton Towers without a group or just wanting to experience as many rides as possible, single rider queues provide an expedited way to get on popular rides faster. This system is perfect for anyone looking to skip the traditional queues and enjoy more attractions in less time.

Benefits of the Single Rider Queue System

Faster Access to Popular Rides

The most obvious benefit of the single rider queue is that it drastically reduces waiting times. Popular attractions can have long queues, especially during peak hours, but with the single rider queue, you can jump ahead and enjoy more attractions in a shorter amount of time.

Flexibility and Convenience

Single rider queues provide flexibility, allowing solo visitors or smaller groups to fill empty seats on rides. This helps the park maintain efficiency, especially during busy periods, while offering a better experience for those who don’t mind riding alone.

Maximising Your Park Day

With shorter wait times for individual riders, you’ll be able to experience more attractions throughout the day. This is particularly beneficial if you have a limited time at Alton Towers or are looking to fit in as many thrills as possible during your visit.
